I love the quotes, especially diogenes’: “the vine bears three kinds of grapes: the first of pleasure, the second of intoxication, the third of disgust”.
There was a time I could drink two bottles at a time, plus shots at the neighborhood watering hole. Obviously I had a problem. No more wine for me! But thanks for the memories. I also like that ‘treacherous friend’ saying. Eh…
glad to hear “the fruit of the vine” has moved on from your life – egads young lady, you had it (quoting stevie wonder) ‘bad girl, you had it bad girl” but now nothing but smooth sailing!
