wednesday morning 6th june 2012 – new born mute swan cygnets and mom – swanswell pond – coventry england
peace

I’ve been enjoying your swans, and these ones where the cygnets ride on mom’s back, etc. are very special to see. I’ve always been a bird watcher, and I have somehow missed that they do this. Very sweet. Swans are so large and, while elegant, I find them daunting. It’s especially interesting to me to see this capture of their gentleness.
thank you, i believe the cygnets were like a day old and amazingly serene – their father however, was a bit stressed, constantly chasing the other swans and pond inhabitants away – very protective i must say!
Yup, that would be the daunting part.
Ha! Children! Always wanting a free ride! lol
ain’t it the truth!
