since the pope hasn’t returned my call – yet – i think i’ll write him a letter
so like i’ve given up on receiving a return call from his holiness, after all he probably has a ton of other things to do. i can appreciate that, so holding nothing against him am i. still presbyterian as well, so all’s good in the realm of religiosity – at least i think so – and with that it’s goodbye to rome
arrivederci roma, as dean martin (and so many others) would sing, as they board flights out of leonardo da vinci. some with ‘longing’ thoughts of regret on leaving rome, others with thoughts of returning to the “eternal city” sooner rather than later. that is, if their american express card allows. then there are those of us who while regretting – in some minute way i’m sure – leaving the pope’s ’city’, just can’t wait till air france settles down in charles de gaulle or orly or even the gare du nord! humm, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch, even for air france. - i wonder; if i don’t have the correct postage on this letter, do you think the pope will still get it? – ciao bella

im totally jealous of all the travelling you seem to do! this morning i took pictures of my breakfast. thats probably the most interesting thing ill do today.
