mussolini and the trains, are they on time?

benito mussolini making the trains run on time is more of an urban myth than reality, you may even call it propaganda. in fact he probably had no clue how to stoke the boiler. not that he would have a need to know that, after all, il duce had a driver

the roma termini train station is one heck of a station. not exactly grand central in new york or victoria in london, but if in the area and with nothing better to do, check it out. but be warned, passengers are in a bit of a hurry . . . trains not necessarily so. where’s old benito when you need him eh?
