birmingham in black & white

okay, so i know that black & white film is something from a different century, if not era, fair enough. i had somewhat of a confusing experience with it back-in-the-day and i don’t know, guess i’m having a bit of a hit-or-miss love affair with it still. i took to the streets of birmingham recently and experimented a bit . . .

birmingham has a checkered image. one that recently has taken a heck of a dose of bad news and self-inflicted black eyes, but as for me, it’s still an interesting place to hit the streets in search of that elusive “vision”

  1. I think I could have really fallen in love with the third photo if the man and his magazine had been really focused. Overall, very cool stuff! keep experimenting with the b&w- you can get some really emotional stuff.

  2. thanks for your words! i tried something with the ‘big issue’ man; apparently either i didn’t try hard enough, or -sigh-failed! love your stuff as well! pretty cool

  3. truer words have never been spoken: “i don’t think anyones ever really truly satisfied with their work” amen sister!
